The Psycho-esque stabbing that starts Jericho Mansions kicks off a visually intriguing murder mystery. James Caan is a maintenance man in a luxury apartment block that’s populated by a bunch of unkind, crazy middle-agers (including The Fog’s Genevieve Bujold and Jennifer Tilly) who are all on the fringe of society. The ending comes out of nowhere but presents a shocking plot twist that goes well with the rest of the surreal film. Jericho Mansions is one to watch again in order to pick up all of the well-hidden subtleties.
